Kom godt i gang med stævner
Når du skal ud og starte stævne med din hest, er der en række regler og praktiske ting, du skal være opmærksom på. Det er vigtigt både for din egen skyld og for hestens trivsel, at alt er i orden, inden du møder op på stævnepladsen.
Regler for stævneridning i Danmark
For at deltage i stævner i Danmark er der nogle faste rammer og krav, som ryttere skal overholde. Disse regler sikrer, at konkurrencerne afvikles på en fair og sikker måde for både ryttere og heste.
Hvis du vil starte stævner, skal du have en gyldig rytterlicens, som passer til de klasser, du ønsker at ride. Licensen fungerer som et bevis på, at du må deltage i konkurrencer, og den gælder som udgangspunkt for ét kalenderår ad gangen.

Vaccination
For at din hest må deltage i stævner, skal dens vaccinationer være i orden. Det er dit ansvar som rytter at sikre, at hesten er korrekt vaccineret i forhold til gældende regler.
Basisvaccinationen skal være fuldt gennemført.
Revaccinationer skal være ajourført, ellers kan du risikere, at din hest bliver udelukket fra start.

Stævner i Danmark
Der afholdes løbende mange stævner rundt om i landet – både lokale klasser og større konkurrencer.
DRL- og WRL-stævner er officielle stævnerækker, hvor du kan samle erfaring og resultater.
Der findes også klubstævner, træningsstævner og åbne arrangementer, hvor du kan prøve kræfter med stævneformen i lidt mere afslappede rammer.

Forskellige former for islandshestesport: firgang, femgang, tølt og pas.
Islandshestesporten tilbyder et bredt udvalg af gangarts-, tølt- og pasklasser opdelt i forskellige niveauer fra Sport D (lettest) til Sport A (sværest).
I alle såkaldte tøltklasser rides kun tølt. Langsom tølt, hurtig tølt, tølt for løse tøjler osv. Disse klasser benævnes i tilmeldinger og programmer med et T. Tøltklasserne går fra T8 til T1, hvor T8 er den nemmeste klasse.
Klasser, hvor der skal vises4 gangarter, (skridt, tølt, trav, galop) spænder ligeledes fra den nemmeste, som er 4.5, til 4.1 som er den sværeste. Disse klasser kaldes også V5, V4, V3, V2, V1 i programmer og tilmeldiinger. V står for det tyske “vier”.
Klasser, hvor der skal vises5 gangarter(skridt, tølt, trav, galop og pas) spænder ligeledes fra den nemmeste, som er 5.2, til 5.1, som er den sværeste. Disse klasser kaldes også F2 og F1 i programmer og tilmeldinger. F står for det tyske “fünf”.
Pasdisiplinerne kaldes PP1, PP3, P1, P2, P3.
I samtlige klasser gives der karakterer fra 0-10 med en decimal.
Sportskonkurrencer i tølt, firgang og femgang foregår på en ovalbane, hvor der er 250 meter rundt.
Du kan også deltage i pasdiscipliner på tid, som rides på en 250 meter lang pasbane.

De forskellige klasser
T.1 Tølt
Riders compete individually.
The rider has three rounds at their disposal to show the following gaits in the following order. Sections:
1. begin at the middle of the short side and ride one round in slow tölt on either rein return to walk at the middle of the short side and change rein
2. from the middle of the short side ride one round in slow tölt, lengthen stride distinctly on the long sides
3. from the middle of the short side ride one round in fast tölt
T4 – Tölt
The test is ridden in groups of up to three riders on the oval track.
The horses show the three sections as instructed by the speaker as described in S2.3.2.
They start on the rein as set in the starting list. Sections:
1. any speed tölt
2. slow, steady and calm speed tölt return to walk and change rein
3. slow to medium speed tölt, holding both reins in one hand clearly showing no rein contact with the horse’s mouth
The marks for section 3 will be doubled.
T7 – Tölt
The test is ridden in groups of up to five riders preferably on the oval track.
The horses show the sections as instructed by the speaker as described in S2.3.2.
They start on the rein as set in the starting list. Sections:
1. Slow, steady and calm speed tölt return to walk and change rein
2. any speed tölt
T2 – Tölt
Riders compete individually.
The rider has three rounds at their disposal to show the following gaits in the following order: Sections:
1. any speed tölt
2. slow, steady and calm speed tölt return to walk and change rein
3. slow to medium speed tölt, holding both reins in one hand clearly showing no rein contact with the horse’s mouth Each section may be shown only once, for one round.
The marks for section 3 will be doubled.
T5 – Tölt
The test is ridden in groups of up to five riders preferably on the oval track.
The horses show the sections as instructed by the speaker as described in S2.3.2.
They start on the rein as set in the starting list. Sections:
1. Slow, steady and calm speed tölt return to walk and change rein
2. tölt; lengthen stride distinctly on the long sides, on the short sides steady and calm speed tölt.
3. Medium to fast tölt
T8 – Tölt
The test is ridden in groups of up to five riders preferably on the oval track.
The horses show the sections as instructed by the speaker as described in S2.3.2.
They start on the rein as set in the starting list. Sections:
1. any speed tölt return to walk and change rein
2. any speed tölt
V1 – Four Gait
Riders compete individually. The test can be ridden on either rein.
The rider has four and a half rounds at their disposal to show the following gaits in any order: Sections:
1. slow tölt
2. slow to medium speed trot
3. medium walk
4. slow to medium speed canter
5. fast tölt
Each gait may be shown only once, walk for a half round and the other gaits for one round.
V4 – Four Gait
The test is ridden groups of up to five riders preferably on the oval track.
The horses show the four gaits as instructed by the speaker as described in S2.3.2.
They ride on the rein as set in the starting list. Sections:
1. medium walk
2. any speed tölt
3. transition of walk/tölt and tölt to walk, separately ridden as instructed by the speaker change rein
4. slow to medium speed trot
5. slow to medium speed canter;
the start into canter and the stop after canter into walk is shown separately by each rider as instructed by the speaker
F1 – Five Gait
Riders compete individually. The test can be ridden on either rein.
The rider has four and a half rounds at their disposal to show the following gaits in any order: Sections:
1. slow to medium speed tölt
2. slow to medium speed trot
3. medium walk
4. slow to medium speed canter
5. pace
Each gait may be shown only once, walk for a half round and the other gaits for one round. The pace is shown on the long sides only. The marks for tölt and pace will be doubled.
V2 - Four Gait
The test is ridden in groups of up to three riders on the oval track.
The horses show the four gaits as instructed by the speaker as described in S2.3.2.

F2 - Five Gait
The test is ridden groups of up to three riders on the oval track.
The horses show the five gaits as instructed by the speaker as described in S2.3.2.
They ride on the rein as set in the starting list. Sections:
1. slow to medium speed tölt
2. slow to medium speed trot
3. medium walk
4. slow to medium speed canter
5. pace The horses may show pace 3 times on one long side.
The riders choose the long side by majority vote. In the event of a draw the speaker will decide. The marks for tölt and pace will be doubled.
T3 – Tölt
The test is ridden in groups of up to three riders on the oval track.
The horses show the three sections as instructed by the speaker as described in S2.3.2. They start on the rein as set in the starting list. Sections:
1. slow tölt return to walk and change rein
2. slow tölt; lengthen stride distinctly on the long sides, on the short sides slow
3. fast tölt
T6 – Tölt
The test is ridden in groups of up to five riders preferably on the oval track.
The horses show the sections as instructed by the speaker as described in S2.3.2.
They start on the rein as set in the starting list. Sections:
1. any speed tölt return to walk and change rein.
2. slow to medium speed tölt clearly showing no rein contact with the horse’s mouth on the long sides.
Reins may be held in both hands, but must be clearly slack.
Handling of the reins on the short sides is neither rewarded nor penalized.
V3 – Four Gait
The test is ridden groups of up to five riders preferably on the oval track.
The horses show the gaits as instructed by the speaker as described in S2.3.2.
They ride on the rein as set in the starting list. Sections:
1. Slow, steady and calm speed tölt
2. slow to medium speed trot
3. medium walk
4. slow to medium speed canter
5. medium to fast tölt
F1 – Five Gait
Riders compete individually. The test can be ridden on either rein.
The rider has four and a half rounds at their disposal to show the following gaits in any order: Sections:
1. slow to medium speed tölt
2. slow to medium speed trot
3. medium walk
4. slow to medium speed canter
5. pace
Each gait may be shown only once, walk for a half round and the other gaits for one round. The pace is shown on the long sides only. The marks for tölt and pace will be doubled.
F3 - Five Gait
The test is ridden groups of up to three riders on the oval track.
The horses show the five gaits as instructed by the speaker as described in S2.3.2.
They ride on the rein as set in the starting list. Sections:
1. slow to medium speed tölt
2. slow to medium speed trot
3. medium walk
4. slow to medium speed canter
5. pace Pace is shown twice on one long side.
The riders choose the long side by majority vote.
In the event of a draw the speaker will decide. A combination needs to show one half of a long side to get a mark.
The mark for pace is doubled and the total number of points is divided by 6
